Sabah Art Gallery
Sabah Art Gallery showcases different works of regional and international artists in their annual exhibitions and events. They were founded in 1984 but had a permanent location in 2012 only.
The actual building is an art itself already, but there is four floors that showcases different exhibitions.
If you are interested in art, or just like to see the art world of Malaysians, you have to drop by and visit the gallery.

Sabah Museum
If you want to know the history and culture of Sabah, you have to visit Sabah Museum.
Our favorite parts of the museum are the exhibit of animals. Just like this whole Whale skeleton.

Kota Kinabalu City Mosque
This is the second main mosque in the city and is very well known for its stunning view with the mosque in the middle of the lake.
Non-muslims are not allowed to go inside the mosques in Sabah, so we just took a picture with it.
Here are some important information that you will need before visiting:
Time Spent (by us): 10 minutes
Entrance Fee: RM5 (Heritage/ Parking Fee)
Operating Hours: It is always open because guests can just take pictures at the side. But parking is open until 8 PM only.

Sabah State Mosque
This is the largest mosque in the city, which can accommodate up to 5,000 worshipers.
Again, we are not allowed inside so we just took a picture with the beautiful mosque.
Also, we played with the flock of pigeons outside, They are well taken care of here that’s why they are just in the area.

Operating Hours: Gates usually opens at 4 AM and closes at 8 PM

Atkinson Clock Tower
This is a historical landmark that is also the oldest structure in Kota Kinabalu. It was built in 1905 and survived the destruction of Jesseltown back in World War II.
Can you believe that the clock on this tower still works? Yes it does!

Tanjung Aru Beach
This is a beach that anyone can access because there are no fees. It is known for its stunning sunsets and various activities that can be done here.
The beach is also near the airport so you can easily visit this as soon as you arrive or before you go back to your country.

The Waterfront
This is also a nice play to watch the sunset dine, or have drinks with your friends.

Entrance Fee: None
Operating Hours: Bars and restaurants are usually open from 10 AM to late at night or early morning (3 AM)
