The Cliffhouse Laguna, a Boutique Resort
Family gatherings and get together were the main focus of the family that owns the resort. They were tired of the old usual styles of the hot springs in Laguna, so they created The Cliffhouse Laguna Boutique Resort which is a four tiered beauty that offers guests nature, and feeling of relaxation. It was newly built and it just opened in March 2018.
Finding the resort was easy. Springdale Subdivision was just beside Max’s Restaurant in Los Banos, Laguna. Then as we entered the subdivision, we were greeted by the guard and we were given directions on how to go to the resort.
First impressions
The Cliffhouse Laguna has four floors of happiness. So Busy and I together with our friends, Michael, Ron, and Viz, explored the awesome boutique resort.
The resort looks good already for our first impression.
It was built on the side of Mt. Makiling which gave it a high perspective of the Los Banos area.
We hurriedly went inside the resort to see its beauty 🙂
First Floor: I Love Cliffhouse
Just right after we entered the resort, we saw the first floor, the introduction to the resort.
From the first floor, we immediately saw why it was called the cliffhouse. Ohhh happiness level increased!
There was a bench, the I love cliffhouse signage, and furniture like the chairs and an umbrella on the garden within the first floor.
The area was a cute place to chill.
Second Floor: The Awesome Amenities
After taking some pictures in the first floor, we went to the second floor wherein the amazing amenities were located.
We noticed that the welcome sign was in English and has a Korean translation. The sign was translated in Korean because most of the guests that stayed in the resort were Korean.
Our excitement intensified as we entered the second floor.
The Pool
The pool immediately said HELLO!!!! to us. ???
The swimming pool was not just the normal pool. Just to enumerate, the pool…
- is a Swimming Pool
- has a Jacuzzi
- made out of Hot spring water
- is an Infinity Pool
- has a Kiddie Pool
- has a roof making it semi-indoor pool
- is IG worthy!!!
OMG! It’s an all-in-one pool!
The pool was so majestic even at night.
The swimming pool was IG worthy! So, of course we grabbed the chance to take our pictures in the pool.
We also had fun playing in the swimming pool.
The pool has some decorations like this cute fish fountain.
The water’s color in the pool was so blue and clear, it made our swimming activity more pleasurable.
We enjoyed swimming in the pool because it was a semi-indoor pool! We were not worried that our skin will be darker.
Ohh wait, did I also mentioned that the pool has a Jacuzzi? 🙂
Here is Busy, relaxing by the Jacuzzi in the hot spring infinity pool.
The view from the pool was another spa resort in Los Banos Laguna, the mountains, and the beautiful Los Banos Laguna.
Beside the pool, there was an additional relaxing area. Our friend Michael was already on it 🙂
If you wanna get your perfect tan, the Cliffhouse Laguna has two sun bathing chairs! If you wanna just chill, the egg pod swing chair was also available.
We enjoyed the egg pod swing chair first.
Then after the sun was gone hahaha, we relaxed on the sun bathing chairs.
The Karaoke Room
Going on a vacation will not be complete without karaoke! The Karaoke Room can be also found in the second floor of the resort. The room was around 20 sqm.
Busy immediately picked a song and started to have his karaoke spree. Back in college, every time that we were in a vacation, Busy and I were the Karaoke rivals ??? we were friends back then but we were both Karaoke addicts.
The Karaoke Room has a complete set up. It has a good sound system, a flat screen television, and a microphone.
Everybody in any generation shouldn’t worry because the Karaoke has old and new songs 🙂
The sound of the Karaoke room can be kept inside the room, or if you want everybody to hear your singing powers 🙂 you can share it within the second floor.
The Billiards and Dining Area
A large portion of the second floor is the billiards and the dining area.
The billiards and dining area was just beside the infinity pool.
The area was decorated minimally but charmingly.
Billiard Table
Busy and I were not billiard experts ? but we had fun while playing.
❗ Make sure you are completely dry before playing ❗
Dining Area
We had our lunch in the spacious dining area of the resort.
When you book your stay in the resort, this 5 gallons of water is also included.
Our friends also had Soju for lunch ?
Later that afternoon we also had our merienda (afternoon snack) in the dining area.
We were in Los Banos Laguna, so we had the famous The Original Buko Pie. Buko Pie is a Filipino snack made out of Young Coconut, milk, and sugar mixed together inside a pie.
Oh yes my lipstick is still on after a long day of swimming and eating ? my kiss-proof lipstick really works.
There was also a shower/comfort room at the second floor.
After going through the second floor, my happiness level was in maximum already but there were more floors to explore!
Before I forget, the resort also has a Wifi 🙂
Basketball Court
The resort also has a Basketball court located in the ground floor. Feel free to use it, just bring your own ball 🙂
Third Floor: The Gorgeous Rooms
When we entered the third floor, the appealing lounge welcomed us.
We really did not expect that there is a lounge first before the rooms. The decorations were minimalist again but they were spot-on.
After appreciating the lounge area, we explored all of the rooms.

Fourth Floor: The Roofdeck
We thought we were already done touring the place, but there is more!
The fourth floor was the best place to chill! hangout! or talk to your friend and loved ones heart to heart ?
The view from the fourth floor was the best! ?
I was very excited to show Busy that we can see Laguna de Bay from the roof deck.
At night it was more beautiful.
If you reserved the place for 22 hours, you can enjoy the the roofdeck by putting up a tent and start stargazing. ?✨
I love the view!
Kitchen
The resort was like a house, you can have your meals cooked in the kitchen.
This was the area where our lunch was cooked. The resort’s keeper John, will be willing to help you cook your food. He said, he is really glad to help visitors in cooking their meals.
Conclusion
Finally the four levels of happiness was completed! We had a sweet escape from the city and we were overwhelmed from the charming boutique resort. Happy and Busy’s Smileys
Cleanliness
I did not find any dirt in the resort.
Facilities
The there were a lot of facilities and they were all well maintained.
Service
We got an excellent service! From the owners by responding fast to our queries, and John the caretaker.
Value for money
The old style hot spring resorts in Laguna costs the same or more than the rates of the resort. I find the rates of the resort very reasonable.
Location
The subdivision wherein the resort was located is just beside the highway. The resort is located in Mt. Makiling but you do not have to trek or travel very far.
Ambiance
Perfect! From the first floor to the fourth floor, the view is fantastic! Laguna de Bay can be seen from the resort.
Food
I can’t accurately rate this because it will be the guests who will bring in their own food or cook their food in the resort. But I will rate our food as 5 smileys because John helped cooked the food 🙂
To summarize our whole stay, here is a quick video 🙂
We’ll definitely be back!!!
It’s just me, and Busy hahahaha he said this should be a serious shot, but I can’t haha.
I would like to thank Ms. Gen Lago for accommodating us in the resort. My friends Michael, Ron, and Viz for helping us taking the pictures.
