Deli de San Honore’s Dining Area
Inside the Dining Area
At first glance, the deli looks small from the outside. We parked in front of the deli and went inside.
This is their waiting area.
We move straight and went inside the dining area.
The dining area inside can accommodate up to 20 people. The dining area was air-conditioned even though Tagaytay is generally has cold temperature.
But Busy and I wanted to dine outside 🙂
Garden Dining Area
When we first saw the deli from the entrance gates, we did not expect to see this….
The deli has a garden dining area!!! ?
We arrived around 5:30 in the deli. It was very timely because the sun starts to go down and the lights of the deli started to open ?
On the way down the stairs, there were several lovely decorative plants.
Ohhh so pretty! The area looks refreshing!
It was a garden dining area, but it has a transparent roof. Our dining experience will not be bothered if a storm came 🙂 Plus look at the large ceiling fans! It adds to the coolness of the temperature.
Busy and I immediately picked a spot to have our dinner 🙂 We choose this one because it looked romantic and relaxing!
By the way, I would like to share the door of their kitchen.
It is cute! It was built with a design very appropriate to the garden.
Deli De San Honore’s Menu
Aside from the regular dishes of the deli, Deli de San Honore serves different special dishes weekly. For the week that we visited, here is their special menu 🙂
The Food
Bread and butter were served after we ordered our dinner.
The bread looks like a lot haha I can eat this and be full already ?
Tuyo and Olives Pasta
We ordered one dish from their weekly specials, the Tuyo and Olives Pasta.
The dish was made out of Linguine pasta, with Pesto sauce, fresh tomatoes, tuyo (dried fish), and olives. It was topped with salted eggs and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, and garnished with parsley and lemon.
The tuyo, olives, and salted eggs overpowered the taste of the pasta. That’s a no wonder because those were the main ingredients in the dish.
D’ Deli’s Charcoal Fired Brick Oven Pizza
We ordered the best seller pizza of the deli.
The appearance of the pizza reminded me of the pizza from Little Italy. The ingredients on this pizza were house-blend tomato sauce, Jambon Blanc (a type of ham), truffle oil, egg, mozzarella cheese, and topped with Arugula. ? Ohhh yummy!
The pizza was served hot but because it was huge and we eat slowly, we reached a point that we ate cold pizza. Even though the pizza was cold, the pizza bread was still soft and delicious! Hmmm I want to know what’s the secret hehehehe. ???
Busy and I both loved the pizza!
Herb de Provence Porkchop
Another best seller was served on our table and it made us….. “WOW!!!”
It was the Herb de Provence Porkchop! It was HUGE! Define HUGE! Hahaha Enormous! Gigantic! hahaha give me a thesaurus! I should mention all synonyms hahaha. ?
The enormous porkchop was served with Garlic Rice, French Beans, and Sweet Pickle Chips.
Just look at the thickness of the slice of pork!
The porkchop was Busy and my favorite! It was gigantic! delicious! and tender!
At first we thought “Is it tender?” “Is it tasty up to the middle?” The answer were all YES! It was delicious from the outside up to the inside! It was also easy to cut and chew!
We didn’t even noticed the rice which was under the porkchop. ?
When the food were served, the deli’s staff lighted two candles. Ohhh it was so romantic ?
Candle light dinner in a garden. ?
Other Features of Deli de San Honore
The deli also sells some goodies in their store.
They have mint leaves…
Fresh organic eggs, Piaya (a Filipino snack)
Raw honey, and chocolate tablea.
We had a great dining experience, that’s why when we return to Tagaytay together with out family or friends, we will bring them here in the deli 🙂
Notes
- The deli accepts reservations
- Credit Card payments were accepted but not encouraged. Their credit card line usually has no signal.
- Private events are very much welcome in the deli especially that there is an attractive garden dining area.
- The deli is pet-friendly! Pets were allowed in the garden dining area.
Happy and Busy’s Smileys for Deli de San Honore
Food
The serving size was a lot and the food was delicious!
Location
The deli was not beside the highway, but it was easy to find. It is just near La Bella and it can be found on the way to Antonio’s.
Ambiance
The ambiance in the garden area was great!
Value for money
The prices of the dishes were just right.
Service
The staff was very courteous, and they asked us “how was the food?” and “Is everything okay?”.
Comfort Room
There were 2 comfort rooms in the deli. One is located inside, and my favorite comfort room is located in the garden dining area. The comfort room in the garden area was clean and it also designed to look in line with the garden theme.
Thank you for making our dining experience romantic
