Fundacion Pacita’s Vicinity
From afar, Fundacion Pacita can be seen immediately.
The tour starts with this welcome sign.
Please take note that you are entering a private area, a resort with guests to be specific. So, please be quiet and do not leave any trash.
We took the tour wearing our jackets, not because it was cold, but because the weather is scorching hot!
We first arrive in this old Italian themed garden. This is where Cafe Tukon is located, but we went to the cafe last.
It is nice to have your photos taken here. The ambiance is romantic and classic.
There is a lot of art in the area, even this simple wall, they turned it into an IG worthy wall!
Here is the famous structure that every visitor takes a photo of.
This is the entrance to the actual hotel of Fundacion Pacita. We wanted to see the rooms, however it is prohibited to go inside if you are not staying here.
Cafe Tukon
After the tour, you can chill, have a cup of coffee, or enjoy the art inside the cafe.
We went in the basement of the cafe to see the art gallery.
Here is a life size statue of Pacita, she is an artist and the inspiration of the resort.
There is a lot of artworks inside, but the most interesting are these connected paintings
The first painting shows the life of an Ivatan during the day. Ivatans work hard in the morning.
Then the second painting shows the life of an Ivatan in the evening. You can notice that there is a lot of gatherings and celebrations at night.
