Getting away from the city is one of the highlights of my week. This time, my brother and I visited MGM Ranch and Farm in Batangas to experience life in the province.

Checking In at MGM Ranch and Farm
From the road, I first thought that “Is there really a farm here?” it is because the entrance is in the city. But the signs kept going on until we reach the actual farm.
This heritage house is the first one that we saw since we entered the property. It’s like it is taking me back to the old times haha.
Different Types of Accommodations in MGM Ranch and Farm
There are various types of accommodations here in MGM Ranch and Farm, you may choose between the old houses, the cabins, or the nipa huts.
Red Barn Cabin
This is the Red Barn Cabin where my brother and I stayed. We just parked our car beside it, which is very convenient. This accommodation is good for 2 people.

We had a great time spending our time just outside the cabin because the outside is also cozy, and we love the fresh breeze of the air.
Inside the cabin, there is a queen-sized bed that is designed to match the Red Barn theme.
There is also a cute corner with a chair.
Here is the area of the clothes rack with hangers and emergency light.
Here’s the comfort room, which has everything we need. Shampoo, body wash, alcohol, and the toilet bowl have a bidet. Bath towels are also provided.

Yellow Barn Cabin
Just in front of our cabin is the Yellow Cabin Barn, which is the same as ours but this can accommodate up to 6 persons. It also has a big dining area beside it.

Daldalita Room
If you wanna have the ambiance of the classic houses, this is one of them. This is near the swimming pool, so you’ll have easy access to it.

Bonifacio House
This is the biggest accommodation on the ranch, and it really is an old house. So cool! It is also just in front of the swimming pool. UPDATE! This was also used as a taping location of the hit TV show from GMA, Maria Clara at Ibarra (The year 2023).

Hideaway B&B
This is the accommodation near their restaurant and the first one that the guests can see.
The special feature of this one is the Kawa Hot Bath.

Glamping Hut
Finally, they also have glamping huts that look like the native Bahay Kubo.

Amenities and Things to do in MGM Ranch and Farm
The ranch and farm have a lot of amenities that adults and kids will love.
1. Farm Life
If ever you are stressed, this place is the right destination for you. Life here is very peaceful.
2. Horse Feeding
There are various horses on the ranch, some are in the stables and some are just roaming around.
They are always hungry even though they just ate haha. So, we just grabbed the leaves and give it to them to feed them.
3. Sheep Feeding
Aside from horses, there are lots of sheep here, which keeps on making noise until you feed them. Haha I really enjoyed feeding them.
4. Swimming Pool
If you love swimming, they also have a swimming pool which is open 24/7. Oh yes you can swim during the day or at night.

5. IG-Worthy Spots
There are various IG-worthy spots on the ranch and farm, which includes this bird’s nest.
6. Other Animals
There are also other animals here like these birds, which you can watch.
7. Horse Petting
The horses around are very friendly, so it’s nice to pet them.
Here’s my brother petting the horse. He said this is like the meme from Attach on Titan.
8. Cafe at the Ranch
They also have a restaurant, the Cafe at the Ranch. They serve snacks up to complete meals. There is always a complimentary breakfast once you book a stay here.
There is no corkage in MGM Ranch and Farm so you can bring your food. But if you did not bring any food, it’s okay because you can order from them.

Here are the rates for the different kinds of accommodation.
How to Get to MGM Ranch and Farm?
There are a lot of ways to get here.
Public Transportation
- Ride a bus going to Lemery.
- Go down at Taal Town.
- Ride a tricycle to MGM Ranch and Farm
Private Transportation
There are two ways to get here via private transportation. The first is via Tagaytay.
- Go to Tagaytay and go through Tagaytay – Nasugbu road.
- At the fork (right side has Nasugbu sign) take the left road. This is Diokno Highway, which is a zigzag road but a very scenic one.
- At the end of the highway, turn left.
- Then, at the roundabout, take the second exit.
- After 10 minutes you will see Flying V gas station. Turn right, and immediately turn left.
- Follow the signage until you reach the actual entrance.
Second is via SLEX/Star Tollway
- Ride all the way to SLEX until Star Tollway, then exit at Lipa Exit.
- Go straight the road until you reach the fork with Phoenix Gasoline station, take the right road.
- Go on for 30 minutes until you reach the end of the road with a Petron gasoline station, turn right. This road is the Palico-Balayan Road.
- Continue for 10 minutes until you reach another fork, this time take the left, then immediately turn left.
- Follow the signage until you reach the actual entrance.
For easier reference, you can just use Google Maps or Waze.
How to Book?
- Simply message the resort through their Facebook or cellphone number.
- Pay the 50% downpayment, and pay the remaining 50% upon check-in.
- A Valid ID will be required to be presented for contact tracing purposes.
- Modes of payment: BDO bank transfer, GCash, or cash.
- No refund, only rebooking is allowed.

My brother and I overall enjoyed our overnight stay in the resort. We hope we can come back someday because the experience is awesome.
Cleanliness
This is a ranch so I am expecting foul odor from the animals but to my surprise, there is no super foul odor.
Facilities
Service
We love kuya Max, he guided us through the stables and he showed us the roaming horses. The staff are friendly, and the owners are hands-on.
