During our trip in Taiwan, we went to OIA Cafe.
The cafe is known for their animals which just roam around inside the cafe. Ohh yes… pets… not just cats or dogs, they have ALPACAS inside the cafe!

The Alpacas of OIA Cafe
There were two main Alpacas inside the cafe.
He was the smaller Alpaca and he loved chewing on a lot of things.
He was the taller Alpaca, and he loves getting treats. Well both of the Alpacas love treats.
Feeding the Alpacas
When we arrived in OIA Cafe, our immediate thought was to take a selfie with the Alpacas!
However they thought my hair was a carrot! Snow tried to chew my hair!
Good thing I pulled back immediately hahaha my hair was red, very close to orange, he might thought it was a carrot 😆
Guests have to be careful on what they have that the Alpacas can chew on. This is for the benefit of the guests and the Alpaca. We do not want the Alpacas to be sick 🙂
The cafe has a lot of hay and buckets full of water for the Alpacas.
I do not think they will be hungry inside the cafe.
However, they were looking for something… on the counter…
inside the display cabinets…
or with the guests from the dining area…
The Alpacas were looking for treats!
This time the treats were Carrots! 🥕🥕🥕
Carrots were available on the counter, we just got a piece and gave it to the Alpacas.
OIA Cafe provides different treats everyday, sometimes Carrots were provided and sometimes they have pears.
Pictures with the Alpacas
While giving the carrots, we had a chance to take a picture of the Alpaca and our pictures with the Alpacas.
I would like to thank my friend Michael Sarabia for providing these awesome Alpaca pictures
OIA Cafe’s Alpacas looked great!
We had selfies with the Alpacas…
couple pictures 😆…. oh yes he is our baby at the moment hahaha
and of course group pictures! Li Bai is now a part of the gang…
or not 😆😆😆
The Alpacas were very friendly and they do not mind anyone taking a photo or playing with them.
During our visit there was also a tiny brown alpaca, he does not have a name yet, but I want to call him Brownie 😄 Alpacas were so cute! They always have this smile!
I also had a selfie with Brownie. He was shy at first.
But he eventually liked looking at himself through the cellphone.
But he peed after a while hahaha. Cleaning after the pee and poo were some of the main maintenance duties of the staff.
He kept his smiling face even though he was peeing hahaha.
We just called the attention of OIA Cafe’s staff and they were very ready, they immediately brought a mop and a bucket with soap water to clean the urine. This is why the cafe does not smell bad even though there were animals.
There were also other animals in the cafe. They were located outside of the cafe.
Brown Alpacas with big teeth were outside the cafe.
I think these Alpacas were the parent of Brownie.
Goats can also be found outside the cafe. Their area was stinky, I immediately knew that there were goats in the area because they have a distinct smell. They poop and pee a lot 😆
Inside the cafe there was a large aquarium like cage, there were a three huge cats. We had difficulties taking their pictures because the sunlight reflects at the glass.
OIA Cafe’s Menu
Before we forgot, this is a cafe not a zoo 😆 Every person who goes inside the cafe must order one meal. It can be a drink or a snack. If a person does not order, he can’t go inside the cafe.
I took a picture of the English menu so everybody can understand. The menu was cute, it looked like Li Bai and Snow created it.
Oops take note! Do not give human food to the Alpacas. Even though they insist, do not give them anything.
We went in the cafe after we had our lunch, so we were really full. But we had to order so we just ordered the following dishes.
I looked at the serving of some of their dishes from the other guests, the serving was a lot!

We just had snacks and a few drinks but the food was okay. The serving was big for other dishes.
The cafe is a bit far from the city, and can be accessed via a car and bus.
The ambiance was good but it was great upon seeing the Alpacas! They really made the cafe perfect!
Value for money
Paying a few bucks for seeing the awesome Alpacas was definitely worth it! If I’ll be back in Taiwan, I will visit the cafe again.
The staff were courteous and friendly. They served our food fast, and they also cleaned up the pee of the Alpaca immediately. I also love that they taught us how to give treats to the Alpaca.
The comfort rooms were clean and it smells okay.
I think he was looking at my hair this time again hahaha my hair is not edible hahaha.
