Tokyo Tokyo Light Ramen
Tokyo Tokyo has been around the Philippines since we were a child, so we get to dine here once in a while. But we heard that they have a new item on their menu, the light ramen. So I went to the nearest branch and tried it, here is our Tokyo Tokyo Light Ramen Review.

Inside Tokyo Tokyo SM Dasmarinas
The nearest branch in our city is located inside SM Dasmarinas, so I went there.
I love the new look of the store, they have renovated after the pandemic and now it looks so fresh!
I think a lot of seating area has been added and it feels more “Japan” inside the store.
Tokyo Tokyo Light Ramen
There are five different flavors that customers can try on. I bought all of the flavors so I can taste them and share them with you. When I first saw the ramen, generally, my first impression was “Wow!”
Chasu Pork Light Ramen
One of the most common flavors of ramen is Chasu Pork and they also have it. Aside from the noodles and the broth it has shredded Cabbage, hard-boiled egg, nori, onion springs, and one big slice of Chasu Pork with sauce.
This tasted good and it really has the classic Pork Chasu taste.
Seafood Light Ramen
This ramen has shredded Cabbage, hard-boiled egg, nori, onion springs, Crab sticks, tofu, crab meat, and one big Tempura aside from the noodles and broth.
My mom and baby brother love this flavor.
Spicy Chicken Light Ramen
This ramen has shredded Cabbage, hard-boiled egg, nori, onion springs, and three pieces of breaded chicken with spicy sauce aside from the noodles and broth.
This also tasted good.
Teriyaki Chicken Light Ramen
This ramen has shredded Cabbage, hard-boiled egg, nori, onion springs, corn, and three pieces of Teriyaki chicken aside from the noodles and broth.
The corn and the Chicken Teriyaki go well, so this one tasted good too.
Cheesy Beef Light Ramen
Finally, here is my most favorite out of all of the flavors. This ramen has shredded Cabbage, hard-boiled egg, nori, onion springs, a slice of cheese, and Beef slices aside from the noodles and broth.
I usually avoid ramen with cheese because I think I will not like it, but to my surprise, I really enjoyed this one! It made me finish my ramen up to the broth.
What’s With the Light Ramen?
The light ramen is a smaller version of the regular ramen so people can enjoy eating ramen for a very affordable price. Here is a comparison of the size of the regular and the light ramen.
If you also want to make your ramen a meal, you can just add Php 80 for three pieces of Gyoza and red iced tea, or Php 90 for three pieces of Karaage and red iced tea.
Me, I want my meal to be complete so I also added Coffee Jelly and Revel Bar. By the way, I love their Revel Bars!!!!
Everything is so good, and for the price of Php 180 it is very cheap and they are still generous with the size of the dish and the ingredients. Most of us can’t spend Php 600 or more for a bowl of ramen, so this is a good hack if you want to taste quality ramen for an affordable price.
Other Dishes
Aside from the light ramen, I ordered other dishes too so I could share them.
Spicy Cheese Sandwich
Before light ramen, they released their sandwiches, one of which is this Spicy Cheese Sandwich.
Kani-Nori Sandwich
This sandwich is more Japanese-inspired than the first one, and every bite of the sandwich tastes like Nori and Kani.
California Maki
They also have various maki and sushi, you can choose from 4 or 6 pieces. This one is the California Maki which is always a refreshing maki to eat.
Dragon Maki
If you prefer eating Tempura in sushi, this one is for you.
Bento Meals
All of their bento meals are served with stir-fried veggies and unlimited rice. Oh yes! Unlimited rice! They were one of the first restaurants that offered unlimited rice.
Prawn and Kani Tempura Bento
Honey Chicken Teriyaki Bento
There is a choice between 3 or 6 pieces of Honey Chicken and I choose 6 pieces which is a lot.
