La Casa Tagaytay, Tagaytay Highlands

Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive membership resort, so not everyone can enter the vicinity, guests must have a host member who can arrange our visit. Luckily, we found La Casa Tagaytay, a European-inspired house, that hosted our stay.

Checking In La Casa Tagaytay

Busy and I and our friends, Thinkable Box (Renz), and Travel with Karla, went to Tagaytay Highlands and had a triple date staycation. We had a host member that allowed us to stay in their lovely home in this exclusive membership resort.

Our host member coordinated our details with the property manager of Tagaytay Highlands, so we passed by security swiftly. The property is located in the Midlands section, in Kew Gardens, and it is easy to locate because there are only two houses (as of this writing) in the vicinity.

Features and Amenities of La Casa Tagaytay

The house has a lot of features and amenities which we enjoyed using.

Dipping Pool

There is a dipping pool right in front of the house. I think it is around 3 x 3 feet in size.

However, we didn’t use the pool because the weather is really chilling!

Nice Living Room

Then, as we entered the house, we were greeted by the lovely living room.

Even though there is a dining area, we had our dinner here because we watched Netflix shows while eating.

Entertainment

There is some entertainment in the living area such as Netflix and other board games that guests can use. Karaoke is also available, and do not worry about disturbing others because there is no nearby houses.

We tried the Bingo and the Speed Stacks, and I guess I do not have the speed. Haha

There is also a massage chair available in the living room, which Karla enjoyed.

Dining Area and Kitchen

The house has a big dining area which has a large table and 8 chairs.

There is also an extra dining area right outside the house, which is best to use if you want to feel the clean and cold breeze of the air.

La Casa’s kitchen is a fully functioning kitchen because it has everything that you will need. We do not actually know how to cook, but if ever we have a friend who loves to cook, he can use this kitchen and prepare various dishes.

• Cooking pans
• Plates, cups, spook and forks
• Other cooking utensils

Balconies

All of the areas of the house have large windows so we can see the nice view outside. Aside from these, there are also two balconies that we enjoyed using. First is the balcony from the biggest bedroom. It has a view of the mountains of the highlands.

Second is this tiny balcony between the rooms.

Pet Friendly

We did not bring our pets but we want to share that this is a pet-friendly house.

Bedrooms

There is a total of three bedrooms in the house which is more than enough for us because the house can accommodate up to 14 people. All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor.

First Bedroom

This is the largest bedroom in the house. It has a double bed and a triple deck beds.

Second Bedroom

This bedroom is also big and it looks good too.

There is a double bed and a triple deck bed again.

Third Bedroom

Finally, here is the third bedroom which has a double bed, sofa bed, and two upper beds.

Comfort Rooms

There is a total of three comfort rooms in the house, one is located near the living area.

There is a sink, urinal, toilet bowl, and a mini shower (no heater).

Then, the other two comfort rooms are located on the second floor. These are the better comfort rooms because it has hot and cold shower.

By the way, there is also an extra sink on the second floor.

• If you want to use Tagaytay Highlands facilities, a guest card must be bought. You can coordinate this with La Casa so they can get you one.
• Names of the guests and car details should be given prior to check-in in because security in Tagaytay Highlands is tight.

How to Get Here?

You must have a car because there is no public transportation inside Tagaytay Highlands.

Via SLEX and CALAX

• Pass by SLEX southbound and exit at Greenfield City.
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto CALAX West.
• Continue through CALAX West and exit at the end.
• Turn left towards Nuvali Spine Road until you reach Nuvali Boulevard.
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit.
• After 3.1 km, turn right.
• Continue straight to Isaac O. Tolentino Ave (or shall I say curve haha, the road has a lot of sharp curves).
• At the end of Isaac Tolentino Ave, take a sharp left onto Tagaytay – Calamba Rd.
• After 10 meters, you will reach Gate 1 of Tagaytay Highlands.

Via SLEX – Sta. Rosa Exit

• Pass by SLEX southbound and exit at Sta. Rosa Laguna.
• Turn to Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
• In the end, turn left at Tagaytay-Calamba Road.
• After 5 kilometers, you will reach Gate 1 of Tagaytay Highlands.

Use Waze (Easiest)

Just search for “Tagaytay Highlands” in Waze and follow it.

Overall, we had a fun stay in the house. The entertainment is more than enough for our stay, and we even get to see the other facilities of Tagaytay Highlands.
