Reception
We were immediately assisted by the resort’s friendly staff and made us wait comfortably while they let us check-in.
Our first impression was very high!
By the way, look at this comfort room in the reception/ waiting area. It’s so nice and clean. I am expecting that all of their facilities and rooms are like this.
Villa 1 – Baliraya Resort and Spa
Busy and I checked-in in Villa 1. The location is perfect because it’s in the middle of everything! The pool, restaurant, reception, and the lake. Plus, it looks like it is in the middle of the forest, making the ambiance enchanting.
We entered a large gate, and here is what it looks like before we go into the actual room.
The room is awesome! As soon as we entered the room we were really amazed.
The room is surrounded by glass making the visitors feel the nature surrounding the villa. Each portion of the glass can be opened so you can feel the fresh air instead of the aircon. We actually opened the windows the whole day instead of using the air conditioning unit.
The bed and other furniture
We love the bed! Hahaha, we’ve been to a lot of resorts and hotels already but this one is one of the best beds that we’ve slept on. It’s so soft and bouncy which gave us too much comfort.
There are some tables, chairs, and cabinets that guests can use.
Comfort Room
Amenity kits and bath towels are also available.
The sink area is very nice, it matches the theme of the room.
Here is the toilet bowl and the shower area. There are two types of shower, the rain shower, and the handheld. Plus, hot water is also available.
Villa 2 – Baliraya Resort and Spa
This is the other type of villa. We did not stay here but we had the chance to visit it because there are no guests.
Here is the large gate again, and the entrance to the villa.
It is also a big room with a large bed.
There is a large porch in Villa 2. It’s quite nice to sit here and talk to your friends and family.
Deluxe Room – Baliraya Resort and Spa
The deluxe rooms are located on the second floor of the reception area. So, we went there and visit it too.
The room is also nice! it has a balcony with a garden on it.
There is also a cabinet that guests can use.
We also saw that there is a mezzanine.
So, we went up and visited it.
There is another bed here. So, this room is good for two to three guests.
While we were visiting the room, we just realized that the owners of the resort paid attention to every detail of each room. In all of the rooms whether big or small, the owners gave their best so the guests can have a great time in each of them.
Surroundings
Second Floor Lounge Area
If ever you are staying in the deluxe rooms, you’ll get to see this lounge area very often. It has the perfect Bali feels!
You can just relax here while looking at nature or play Sungka, a Filipino traditional game.
The details in this lobby are spectacular. I gotta wish I have this lobby in my house too! Hahaha, The pictures on the wall are from the African trip of the family of the owners.
Nature
Baliraya Resort and Spa is located beside the Caliraya lake, so the lake can be also viewed from here.
When we arrived here and looked around the area, we first noticed this path going down.
It’s a place to relax! Plus it is a very IG-worthy spot!
Busy and I talked here and relaxed.
Well… we really love to chit-chat haha.
And of course, we got the opportunity to take our romantic picture here in the bird’s nest.
There are two bird’s nest here in the resort. The other one is just below the swimming pool.
It is also a nice spot to chit-chat. 😉
Swimming Pool
The pool is also made nicely. It is an infinity pool that is surrounded by nature.
Busy and I had a great time swimming that we forgot to take our pictures while swimming. Hahaha well… you’ll get the same feeling too when you are there.
But here I am wearing my swimsuit from Kabibe Swimwear.
At night, the place looks magnificent too!
Restaurant
The restaurant is just beside the pool.
It is alfresco and has the proper gap between each guest.
There are sofa sets here which you can use just to relax and look at the pool and the nature.
But here we are giggling beside the bar.
We had our dinner right after we took a dip in the pool.
We ordered a Korean Spicy Chicken which is good for 2 to 3 persons.
Then, here is our breakfast. This is the usual plate each morning, it is like a food sampler of each Filipino breakfast delicacies. It has a cup of fried rice, fried egg, Tapa, Tocino, and Longganisa. You can have tea or coffee to pair with it.

Other Activities
Aside from swimming, relaxing, and being one with nature, you can also rent a paddleboard or a paddleboat.

Overall we had the best experience in Baliraya Resort and Spa. This is one of the best overnight getaways that we had over the past few years. The owners of the resort made sure that each guest gets their Bali feels in each room and has the best experience in the resort. I hope we can go back soon because an overnight stay is never enough.
Cleanliness
Everything is clean! We were surprised because we can’t even see any dead leaves on the property. The staff kept on sweeping and cleaning the resort. Proper protocol is also followed especially during these times, there is a pandemic. Even the bird’s nest IG-worthy spot is well maintained.
Facilities
Service
The staff and the owner are very friendly and hands-on. The owner is even there and overseeing the property.
Value for money
A stay in the resort is affordable. If you consider the ambiance and everything in the resort, you’ll feel that you paid what you get for.
Location
The area is kinda hard to reach by public transport, but very easy to go to via private vehicle.
Ambiance
Bali feels in every corner! The resort perfectly gave the Bali and Filipino vibes all throughout!
